Theater

Priyanka's journey as a theatre artist began at an early age. Her alma mater, Sacred Heart Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Church Park, Chennai, is renowned for its rich tradition of excellence in the performing arts. From the age of seven, she was a regular participant in the school's annual Christmas productions and theatre festivals. During the school's centenary celebrations, she was selected from over a hundred students to perform in a landmark production on the life of the school's foundress, Nano Nagle, presented in the presence of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam.
A few years later, a friend who recognized Priyanka's natural flair for expressive characterisation introduced her to the legendary P.C. Ramakrishna of The Madras Players. She was subsequently cast as one of the seven principal protagonists in a stage adaptation of celebrated writer Chudamani Raghavan's works. This marked the beginning of an enriching theatre journey under eminent directors and playwrights including Gowri Ramnarayan, Prasanna Ramaswamy, S.B.S. Raman, and Isaikkavi Ramanan, performing in both English and Tamil productions across India and Singapore. She also had the honour of performing at Theatre Olympics 2017, presented by the National School of Drama (NSD) under the direction of Prasanna Ramaswamy. Today, Priyanka continues to draw upon her theatrical training in her original creative works, including The Last Song, where storytelling, movement, and performance converge. She also did a couple of interesting online collaborations with these theater veterans during the Pandemic.
This young lady is a real team player. Hers was a brilliant performance at Alliance Francaise, when she and another youngster Anu brought Kolatkar's poems to life with self-less work ethic. Priyanka played her role with abandon, with great sensitivity and a sense of fun. It is quite evident that Priyanka has what it takes to be a fine writer too.

Completely at ease on stage and with a genuine love for public speaking, Priyanka has always thrived in front of an audience. Her television journey began unexpectedly when a friend, impressed by her articulate English diction, invited her to emcee her Dance Recital. That successful collaboration soon led to an opportunity to interview the same friend for a Hindi program on Doordarshan National, marking the beginning of a career that would span over 120 live and recorded television programs. Over the years, she has hosted an eclectic range of shows, including Celebrity and Dignitary interviews, Breakfast Lives, Astrology and Spiritual series with callers, Hollywood movie reviews, Quiz shows, Educational guidance programs, and cultural features. Beyond presenting, Priyanka meticulously researched her guests and prepared the majority of her own scripts, bringing depth and authenticity to every production. She has worked with multiple television networks, earning recognition for her versatility, spontaneity, and ability to connect effortlessly with audiences across diverse genres. She also designed most of her looks for these shows. She continues to emcee events when time permits.
Very smooth and well-prepared interview by the Anchor (Priyanka) on multifaceted subjects, carrying the conversation seamlessly. Excellent applause from senior officials we know in the banking sector, retired defence personnel, well-wishers from the Parliament, and eminent academicians from IIT.
Child Prodigy and Program Guest, Kalavathy's Parents
Priyanka's emceeing was so enjoyable and presented so well throughout the program.

Professional Makeup

Like many children, Priyanka's fascination with makeup began with playful experiments using her mother's makeup collection and gradually evolved into a lifelong artistic pursuit. Alankaram—the art of adornment and presentation—has since become a defining thread across her work in Bharatanatyam, theatre, and stage productions. Having worked on over 75 Arangetrams and professional productions across Bharatanatyam, Kuchipudi, and Mohiniyattam, she has created performance-ready looks for men, women, and children from diverse skin tones and with a wide range of skin types and concerns. She is known for her meticulous attention to detail, expertise in product substitutions that bridge traditional Indian techniques with accessible, budget-friendly alternatives, and her careful selection of vegan, cruelty-free, and non-toxic products wherever possible. She also provides clients with comprehensive preparation checklists and personalized guidance and has conducted stage and photography makeup workshops for participants worldwide. Priyanka was just amazing in every way! She sent us a very detailed instruction sheet of all the things we needed to keep ready and the basic prepping required on the dancer’s end. She was always available for any questions and arrived on time on our photoshoot day as promised. She had all the cosmetic products needed for professional Bharatnatyam makeup. From our end, we only had to have the costume and jewelry ready - Priyanka took care of everything else. She was also very quick and efficient and made the dancers feel very comfortable and relaxed throughout the makeup process. She was able to complete the duet makeup and costume much before the anticipated time. We are very grateful to her for making this process pleasant and memorable.

Priyanka did an amazing job for my daughter's arangetram and was highly professional throughout. Her expertise was evident, and she made the entire process stress-free for me. She managed four costume changes seamlessly, and the hair and makeup stayed perfect all day. I’m so glad that I have found her. Thank you Priyanka!!

Priyanka is a very friendly and professional alankaram artist with a keen eye for details. She helped with alankaram and makeup for our daughter for both the photoshoot and the arangetram. Priyanka is always on time, knows the nuances of what touch ups are needed at what time during the performance and makes sure the parents and teacher don't have to worry about anything makeup and alankaram related. This was a blessing for my wife and I, and we are very grateful for the excellent services rendered by Priyanka. Since she is herself a Bharatanatyam dancer, she understands what works well on stage vs photoshoot and how to dress the performer in a very comfortable way. Throughout the arangetram planning stages, she guided us on what to fix in the dress, in the ornaments and what personal makeup items we should buy. This was very helpful to us and gave us peace of mind. So thank you for everything Priyanka.

Priyanka was so energetic and encouraging. My whole make up made me feel like one piece- like everything was stuck to me - inducing so much psychological safety that my costume did not distract me at all from my performance. Everything was intact and so beautiful on stage.

What can I say! If I could do my Rangapravesham 100 more times, I would only hire Priyanka for my makeup! Priyanka is extremely professional, efficient, and resourceful in ensuring the dancer is ready from head to toe. She used professional quality makeup, knew exactly what shades suit the complexion of the dancer. Best part was the hair was done smoothly and seamlessly that I didn't realize any burden of carrying the headgear throughout my dance.

Priyanka was fantastic to work with. She created a beautiful Bharatanatyam look that was elegant, stage-ready, and long-lasting. Her attention to detail, professionalism, and ability to understand exactly what was needed made the entire experience wonderful. Highly recommend her for classical dance performances and special events. Priyanka exceeded our expectations in every way. Her work, communication, and professionalism were outstanding. Keep doing the amazing work you're doing!

Right from the time of enquiry for services until conclusion of the engagement, Priyanka was prompt, clear, and precise. Her friendly day of reminders were particularly valuable for prep/packing in the midst of all the other chaos surrounding our event. Her friendly demeanor and reassuring/calming presence stemming from her own personality and her experience as a dancer were clearly valuable to my daughter in the dressing room.
